The result of overwhelming feedback, the Benchmade Bugout has been scaled down in the form of the new 533 Mini Bugout.

The blade of the Bugout is made from high-end CPM-S30V steel with a blade length of 2.82” [7.16cm] vs 3.24” (8.23cm) of the full-size Bugout.

CPM-S30V steel is known to be the ultimate EDC (everyday carry) Steel and has very good edge retention, corrosion resistance, and sharpenablilty.

Weighing in at 1.5oz [42.52g] the Mini Bugout has an overall length of 6.49” [16.48cm] VS 1.85oz and 7.46" (18.95cm) of the full-size Bugout.

The Mini Bugout is small enough for a mint tin, yet big enough for adventure.

The Benchmade Bugout uses an AXIS lock mechanism.

The AXIS lock is totally ambidextrous and allows for easy one-handed opening and closing of the blade without your fingers ever being in the path of the blade.

The design is very intuitive to operate with little or no instruction needed on how the lock functions.
