You can always look to Kershaw for everyday carrying knives that can
tame any cardboard box and liberate any purchase from its plastic
packaging, sporting knives that make hunting, fishing, watersports, and

Budget friendly steel
Sandvik steels (12c27, 13c26, 14c28n ETC) are largely found on affordable, entry-level knives. Generally speaking, the higher the number at the front, the better the steel. 14C28N may be an improvement over 12C27, but realistically the performance between the two is not significantly different. Don't hesitate to buy a knife in Sandvik steel, but understand that you're likely buying a budget knife.
