Fast Composite Roadway Fast Composite Roadway

Designed for supporting off road mobility requirements on soft muddy beachs, during Joint Logistics Over The Shore (JLOTS) operations, the Fast Composite Roadway™ (FCR™) is a heavy duty and Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) roll out aluminium mat system.

Rugged and Durable

The FCR™ resists high tracked vehicle traffic (even when they are equipped with snow cros) on any ground surface, with up to 30% gradient slopes.

Compact

The FCR™ plates are linked by innovative composite connectors which allow the roadway to be stowed into a compact roll. This results in a reduction of weight and volume.

Non-Skid Surface

The FCR™ consists of a series of individual non-skid aluminum plates which provide traction under any environmental condition.

Innovative

The FCR™ combines the benefits of a proven material (aluminum) and that of a new innovative plate design. This combination makes it ideal for accommodating regular traffic and heavy loads on any ground surface and particularly on low bearing capability terrain.

Easy Maintenance

The innovative connectors used between plates allow for quick and easy dismantling. This facilitates the changing of plates due to damage.

Composite Expeditionary Matting Composite Expeditionary Matting

Todays tactical wheeled vehicles are heavily armored, thus increasing their weight and ground pressure. The Composite Expeditionary Matting™ (CEM™) has been created to support future beach landing and crossing operations of these heavier vehicles.

Operational Capability
The CEM™ is a soil stabilization system applicable to the many various expeditionary and remote applications. Its composition and construction with interconnected panels makes it easy to deploy, retrieve and maintain.

Specifications
The CEM™ is a continuous roll-out mat 3.66m (12’) wide 9.15m (30’) long that weighs 12kg/m2 (2.46 lbs/ ft²). The CEM™ is capable of supporting traverse by a Medium Tactical Vehicle Replacement (MTVR) carrying a 7-ton payload. The CEM™ has demonstrated its capacity to support 2,000 vehicle passes at the California Bearing Ratio (CBR) 15 and 500 vehicle passes at CBR 3, with an insignificant rutting effect.

Technology Description
DESCHAMPS has developed the CEM™ with a semi-rigid composite material using interconnected panels. The CEM™ can be used autonomously or in addition to the conventional Mobi-Mat® A2X Beach Landing Mat which has been used by Marine Expeditionary Units (MEU’s) and Combat Logistic Battalions (CLBs) for more than 10 years. Like all the Mobi-Mat® products, the CEM™ is delivered with its complete anchoring kit.

Ground Improvement Mat Ground Improvement Mat

Designed to accommodate heavy traffic loads on low bearing capability terrain, the Ground Improvement Mat™ is a heavy duty and Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) mat system for supporting off road mobility requirements during expeditionary missions.

Excellent Load Bearing Capability
Reinforced with composite strengthening rods, the mat spreads the weight of vehicles and increases the load bearing capability of the ground while reducing rutting.

Patented Non-Skid Surface
Mobi-Mat® GRIMAT™ provides traction under all environmental
conditions for ground support vehicles. Even submerged, the patented corrugated surfacing retains its high-traction capability.

Rugged Dependability
GRIMAT™ permits high vehicular wheeled traffic and enhances the rapid deployment of expeditionary units.

Deployment and Recovery
Rapid deployment can be achieved with our Automatic Deployment Systems. Manual positioning or reconfiguration can also be achieved by using the laying and recovery straps included in the kit.

Versatility
Units can use Mobi-Mat® GRIMAT™ for river fording, to by-pass blown out bridges and to speed up vehicle movement during military operations. You can deploy your mat with Dispenser Systems, which will unroll the mat simultaneously while driving.

Site Conditions
In wet and muddy conditions, personnel can use a subsurface geotextile under the mats to prevent the dirt and mud from seeping through them.

Easy Installation and Compact
Mobi-Mat® Tentfloor™ & Tentpath™ are light weight, easily transportable mattings which can be carried and installed manually in minutes. They roll up in compact sized rolls for easy and quick mobility.

Simple to Use
Mobi-Mat® Tentfloor™ & Tentpath™ are designed with the warfighter in mind. By providing the matting in rolls. They can be laid out fast and easily with minimal training. Each Mobi-Mat® Tentfloor™ or Tentpath™ kit is supplied with a variety of anchoring devices to support all types of terrain.

Durable
Made from a patented, corrugated, high-density polyester mesh material originally designed for vehicular use, Mobi-Mat® Tentfloor™ and Tentpath™ are puncture and tear resistant. The crossing by light mechanical snow and sand removal equipment such as snow blowers or “bobcats” is possible.

Permeable
Mobi-Mat® surfacing permeability prevents water from pooling on the surface. It accommodates every type of terrain with flexibility and without degrading the structure of the matting.

Resistance
Withstands corrosion, rot, chemicals, petroleum fuels, UV and temperatures ranging from -40°C (40°F) to +80°C (176°F).

Mobi-Deck Mobi-Deck

Mobi-Deck™ is the ideal and innovating solution for assuring a dry floor with any type of tent and protecting people and equipment from flooding. Mobi-Deck’s air transportability supports the requirements for today’s expeditionary military.

Fast installation
Made of adjustable panels, a two-person crew can install Mobi-Deck™ at a rate of 50 square meters (538 sqft) per hour. Less than 30 minutes are required for the installation of a 55 square meters tent (592 sq/ft tent).

Lightweight
Each panel weighs 35 lb. (15 kg). The panels are stackable and
compatible with air transport pallets.

Easy to Handle
Each panel can be carried with suction discs.

Safe
Mobi-Deck™ uses a raised connecting frame, which not only supports the decking material but also assists with cable distribution and integration. This feature is ideal for creating temporary flooring for
command posts.

Adjustable Height
Up to 7” (180 mm), feet adjustment is possible from ground level.

Front End Loader Dispenser Front End Loader Dispenser

If you are equipped with a Front-End Loader, then the Front End Loader Roadway Dispenser™ (F.L.R.D.™) is the ideal tool to deploy the Mobi-Mat for quick access and build a 13.8’ wide x 328’ long (4.20 m x 100 m long) of MM3™ temporary roadway.

Rapid and Easy Deployment
It takes only ten minutes and one operator to deploy four interconnected 82’ (25m) long sections of Mobi-Mat® and build a 328’ (100m) long roadway or to retrieve it entirely. To build the access way, the operator drives the vehicle forward while deploying the mat using the remote control.

Flexibility
The F.L.R.D.™ is adjustable to any type of loader using its hydraulic system. The F.L.R.D.™ can be connected to the Front End Loader either with vehicle connectors or with forks.

Robust and Automated System
High anti-corrosion steel beams strengthen and preserve the F.L.R.D.™ A remote control is used to ensure the winding and the unrolling of the mat is conducted systematically. The F.L.R.D.™ is equipped with a hydraulic system that connects to any Front-end Loader.

Removable reel
The roadway is wound round a removable beam. When the beam is empty, a new one can be installed by crane.

User and Environment Friendly

Trailer Dispenser Trailer Dispenser

You can build quick and safe temporary roadways with a Trailer Dispenser™ designed to easily carry, deploy and recover 13.8’ wide x 164’ long (4.20 m x 50 m long) rolls of matting in minutes.

Rapid and Easy Deployment
The deployment process can be carried out in reverse or frontwards (if your vehicle is equipped with a front towing attachment).
Only 5 minutes and 2 operators are required to deploy or retrieve two interconnected 82’ (25m) long sections of Mobi-Mat® GRIMAT™ and build a 164’ (50m) long roadway.

Easy Transportation and Storage
Adjustable to any towing vehicle, the Trailer can be towed and used by any vehicle capable of handling the trailer.

Robust and Automated System
the Trailer Dispenser™ is made with high anti-corrosion steel beams. It includes stowage enclosures and a special remote control to ensure the systematic winding and the unrolling of the mat.

The Trailer Dispenser™ is supplied either with an electrical engine or hydraulic motor for operation of the reel.

Optional
A non-woven geotextile spool can be installed in the front rack and deployed simultaneously with the temporary roadway.

Helipad Helipad

Deschamps’ Mobi-Mat® Helipad™ is a lightweight, compact and safe Helicopter Landing Surfacing for rapidly creating Helicopter Landing Zones for expeditionary Forward Operating Bases (FOB), Forward Arming and Refueling Points (FARP), Drop Zones (DZ), and Medical Evacuations (MEDEVAC).

Ease of Installation and Reconfiguration
One roll is easily carried and deployed by 2 persons. Connectors and stakes (à remplacer par Ground anchors) are supplied in the kit for ease of assembly. Mobi-Mat® Helipad rolls can be easily reconfigured for various dimensions.

Traction-Mat Traction-Mat

Mobi-Mat® Traction Mat™ is an Individual Vehicle Self Recovery Mat (IVSRM) for Ground Mobility Vehicles™.

Composition
Made from a roll of high-density polyester mesh with a patented non-skid surface, Traction Mat™ ensures excellent tire grip in extreme conditions.

Lightweight and Compact
Easily stored on the hood, roof, or in the cargo compartment of tactical vehicles or conveniently strapped to front, side or rear grills and racks. Mobi-Mat® Traction Mat™ provides operators a simple tool to free vehicles mired in sand, mud or snow.

Easy Installation
A stainless steel eyelet at the ends of the mat enables it to be secured to the ground by means of stakes supplied in the kit.

Preemptive
By carrying the Mobi-Mat® Traction Mats™, troop vehicles can avoid being immobilized in extreme environmental conditions. The mats allow a vehicle to quickly recover from the unwanted situations.

Preventative
The Mobi-Mat® Traction Mat™ can be laid in advance in an area known to be impassable.

Resistance
Withstands UV and a temperature ranges of -40°C (-40°F) to +80°C (+176°F).

End Users

ADA /ABA/AODA compliant

Mobi-Deck™ panels’ are 5ft x 6ft long. They are installed at beach entrance to provide a 5ft or 6ft wide ADA/ABA access for wheelchair users and people with mobility issues.
