Two exterior zippered pouches provide quick access to smaller items, while side compression straps with steel G-hooks help stabilize the load or secure extra gear externally.

The exterior includes PALS webbing on the front and bottom for attaching compatible pouches, accessories, shock cord, or packing straps. A removable closed-cell foam back pad adds support and comfort and can also be used as a sitting or kneeling pad in the field.
