The Savotta FDF Sleeping Pad is a practical combination of a sleeping mat and personal groundsheet, originally developed for the Finnish Defence Forces. Built for field conditions, camping, bushcraft and demanding outdoor use, it provides a durable sleeping surface while helping protect you and your gear from wet, snowy or dirty ground.
At the centre is a 50 × 190 cm closed-cell foam pad with 12 mm foam padding and an R-value of 2. The fabric cover extends 25 cm on each side, creating a larger 100 × 210 cm deployed surface that works like a compact personal groundsheet. This gives you extra room beside your sleeping bag for clothing, boots, small gear or field equipment.
The pad uses a waterproof and rubberized anti-skid bottom fabric to improve grip and help keep the mat or sleeping bag from sliding around. Integrated elastic webbing loops keep the pad rolled for transport and storage, making it easy to strap to a pack or carry with other field gear.
