Taking the best features of its full-sized counterpart, Benchmade has once again teamed up with Greg Thompson to optimize some of the most popular elements of the SOCP platform for concealed carry with the 173BK Mini SOCP. It is the perfect tool for self-defense, allowing the user to maintain dexterity and manipulate other objects without putting down the knife. The specialized sheath design also integrates into gear and webbing while keeping a low profile. Based on feedback from Special Operations personnel, they have updated the design of the sheath with some J-shaped hooks to allow for better retention on MOLLE webbing, pocket seams, and waistbands. It's got the same handle as the full-size SOCP, but with a smaller blade. The overall length of the knife allows for easier concealment while maintaining its effectiveness in a self-defense situation.

The Mini is a three-finger-sized variant of the tactical use fixed blade measuring 6.75 inches in overall length. It's the perfect blade for everyday carry and is also popular among the female crowd. Its heart is a full tang 1095 high carbon steel blade with a hand-textured dark acid-washed finish. This will aid in corrosion resistance as maintenance may not always be done in a timely manner. Introducing the newest addition to the ever-growing Outdoor Series, the Field 3.0. At just over 8.0” in length, the Field 3.0 is slightly smaller than the Field 2.0 and is light enough to pack on trips when weight counts, while being fully capable of carrying the workload of its larger brethren. The most noticeable differences in the design can be seen in the slimmer profile, and more notably where the blade comes to a point, making the Field 3.0 ideal for hide penetration.

The Field 3.0 features a KG Gunkote finish on the blade, providing excellent abrasion, chemical and impact resistance. While the profile has been slimmed down, the blade shape still allows for a significant steel mass behind the edge, which translates to a longer sharpening life and edge impact resistance. Each blade is also hand fitted with ebony scales in our signature outdoor pattern. The wood itself is cut and processed by the Crelicam Ebony Mill in Cameroon by a dedicated and hardworking local workforce. Each piece is unique, meaning every one of these blades has the potential to be different and stand alone. We individually process every ebony handle by hand, and we finish it with an extremely high grit and buff to ensure the wood will last a lifetime.

The Field 3.0 is made in here in San Diego, CA by our skilled and talented manufacturing team and includes a genuine Hermann Oak saddle leather sheath.

Thermal Diffusion Technology (TDT) - Toor Knives TDT blade treatment process includes the molecular reorganization of the lattice structures in the steel, which is achieved through multiple oxygen-free thermal normalizing cycles and a controlled rate of diffusion in the steel.

This is followed by a series of tempering procedures and a cryogenic freeze to harden the surface austenite, that ultimately relieves all of the natural stress in the steel, leaving you with a perfectly hardened blade.

Dynamic Fluting- Toor Knives multiaxial handle carving process creates texture paths that flow seamlessly together and follow the natural positioning of the hand around the knife.
